CORNELL SPORTS PROGRAMS

Fast turnaround, high score: It’s either Cornell basketball, or Carr’s programs

Sports serve several functions at any university: Entertainment for the students; character education; campus community creator. And a reason for alumni to support the school.
So we’re happy that Cornell University has hired us to produce their sports programs. Done well, they’re not just a fun little set of notes about the game, they’re a keepsake and a good way for a university to build support among the alums.
We’re familiar with the needs, because we’ve done programs for both the Binghamton Senators AHL hockey team and the Binghamton Mets AA baseball franchise.
And we have some good plans for them. We’re using both our offset and variable digital presses to give Cornell maximum flexibility. Some of the content is static – the roster and many of the advertisements don’t change through the season. But each game features a new team, and new articles and new images – and we’ll have only two days to put each one together. So we’ll need to blend our capabilities to maximize value for the Big Red.
But that’s the kind of work we like. And we’re hoping the basketball team goes to the NCAA tournament again.
